VW are celebration 2 decades of the Golf R with a special edition model that becomes the most powerful series production Golf to date. Whereas the original Golf R was power by a 237hp 3.2 VR6, 20 years on VW have extracted 328hp (22hp more than the standard Golf R)  from the long-serving EA888 turbocharged 2.0-litre 4 cylinder engine.
